Kickstart
With our in-house training program, we provide graduates with exactly the skills they need as consultants in the rapidly developing and creative world of communication within six weeks. The skillset is built up by various internal and external lecturers – from basic media knowledge and target group analysis to the planning of digital campaigns.
Training on the Job
Embedded in our consulting unit, your newly acquired knowledge can be applied directly in the team and on the client. Every day you will experience anew what the job in this industry is all about – including brainstorming & analysis, team spirit and presentations.

Which team do you work in?
As a Junior Client Consultant SEA & Performance, I support various clients from different industries – including Dennree, Leifheit and the German Armed Forces.
What does your media heart beat for? What have you already experienced during your training at UNBOUND MEDIA?
What particularly appeals to me about performance marketing is the combination of analysis and operational implementation. When setting up new campaigns, you not only need creative input, but also strategic sensitivity in order to design the ads to really suit the company. As soon as they are live, the most exciting part begins: optimization. There are countless adjustments that can be made to achieve the customer’s goals. And since every customer has different requirements and objectives, the job is always varied.
And what excites you after work?
After work, I usually try to get some exercise in – either jogging or going to the gym, which helps me clear my head. After that, me and my girlfriend often cook and spend time relaxing on the couch. Besides, I spend a lot of time with family and friends – especially in summer, when you can really make the most of the long days outside.
We are still looking for talents. What should young people who would like to join UNBOUND MEDIA as a trainee bring along and what can they expect?
Performance Marketing is the right place for you if you think analytically, work in a target-oriented manner and have a sense for creative advertising media. As the field is heavily data-driven, you should be confident with numbers – but also understand how to address target groups and design effective ads. Direct communication with customers is also part of the job. As a team, we support each other, regularly exchange ideas in meetings and solve challenges together. And because good collaboration is about more than just projects, we also have regular activities to strengthen the team dynamic.
Personal development
No other industry changes as quickly as the media industry. Here, nothing and nobody stands still for long. On the contrary: transformation is part of our agency DNA and being in a state of flux is our job! Further education and training are part of personal development at our agency.

For a lateral entry into media, we combine our KICKSTART program (link) with entry into one of our customer teams/departments. We take individual circumstances into account and offer tailormade solutions.

Don’t do ANYTHING with Media – come to UNBOUND MEDIA!
As an IHK apprentice, you are right in the middle of the action: We place particular emphasis on practical experience, which you will gain in various areas of work. You will develop and implement projects yourself – either together with your team colleagues or completely independently. A personal network is most important in professional life. That’s why we organize an apprentice rotation in various departments, regular trainee meetings and networking events with the other young talents in the agency.
Of course, we base the practical part of the training on the IHK framework plan and work closely with the respective vocational schools in Düsseldorf for the theory. You also have the opportunity to develop personally during your apprenticeship thanks to specialist training courses and seminars.
All of our IHK apprentices are assigned a buddy and a specialist mentor for professional development and feedback discussions at the start.

Which team do you work in?
I’ve been in the „International“ team since I started my apprenticeship and mainly work for the client Tamaris.
What does your media heart beat for? What have you already experienced during your training at UNBOUND MEDIA?
I love analyzing target groups and competitors. I find it exciting to delve deep into people’s needs and develop targeted strategies. I am also fascinated by analyzing the competition in order to identify opportunities and apply this knowledge. This combination of understanding target groups and analyzing the competition forms the basis for creative and successful campaigns and provides exciting challenges every day.
And what excites you after work?
After work, it’s very important to me to spend time with my friends and family. I love going to the stadium together to cheer on HSV and recharge my batteries with guard dancing – especially at carnival time, which is always an absolute highlight for me.
We are still looking for talents. What should young people who would like to join UNBOUND MEDIA as an apprentice bring along and what can they expect?
A young person who would like to start as an apprentice at UNBOUND MEDIA should above all be open-minded, interested and have a communicative personality. It is important to be curious and enthusiastic about discovering new topics. At our company, you can expect varied tasks in which you can learn and grow a lot. You will be involved in exciting projects and have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas. We also have regular team days, after-work events and a trainee trip, which helps to increase communication and teamwork and additionally provide lots of fun. The top priority is togetherness and equality – everyone is on eye level at UNBOUND MEDIA. This makes working together very pleasant.
